Get Telegram Alerts About Your Bots, and Tag Each Bot With Its Own Emoji
You no longer need to keep a VTX tab open to know what your bots are doing. Open System > Notifications, press Connect Telegram, and tap Start in the private chat that opens. Your account is now linked to the VTX Macro bot, and Send test message checks that messages arrive. The Connect link works once and expires after 10 minutes. Only private chats can be connected, so your alerts never reach a group. Notifications only change what you're told. They never affect how a bot trades, and they cost nothing.
The messages use the same wording as the app. A decision alert is the full AI panel card for a Buy, Sell, or Hold, with the models, timing, cost, tokens, and the complete reasoning. Order results arrive as replies to the decision that caused them. That includes fills, orders that were rejected, failed, blocked, only partly filled, or have an unknown outcome, and take-profit, stop-loss, and trailing-stop fills. Copy-trading accounts get messages for copied orders that executed, failed, or were skipped.
Error alerts are designed not to flood you:
- Errors that need your action, such as an invalid key, are sent once and not repeated while the bot keeps failing the same way.
- Temporary problems such as rate limits, provider outages, and timeouts are reported only after a bot has gone 3 cycles and 10 minutes without a successful cycle. If you want each one as it happens, turn on Every transient error.
Bot status alerts tell you when a bot you set to run isn't running, for example because its browser or desktop app closed or it's blocked until you fix something. You're also told when it runs again, when a kill switch stops it, and when Server Mode Backup takes over.
Every message starts with the bot's name and what happened, so phone previews are useful at a glance, and ends with the time in your timezone. Long messages are split into parts and never cut short. Events from before you connected are not sent.
Each bot has its own notification choices. You might want every decision from one bot and only errors from another. The card shows the choices of the profile you're viewing, new profiles start with the defaults, and a reset arrow returns a profile to those defaults. All bots send to your one connected chat. Pause stops messages until you resume, and anything that happens while paused isn't sent later. Typing /stop in the chat also pauses, and Disconnect removes the chat. If you block the bot, VTX stops sending and asks you to connect again.
Insights agents can manage notifications too. With the Manage settings permission, an agent can read every bot's choices, apply one change to many bots at once, pause or resume, send a test message, start a connection, or disconnect. Tapping Start in Telegram is the one step that still needs you.
A private emoji for every bot
On the System page, click the empty slot before a bot's @handle to pick an emoji for it, or choose None to remove one. The emoji then appears before that handle across the app: Trade, the AI panel, the profile selector, History, Analytics, Changelog, the Leaderboard, browser tab titles, and Telegram notifications. Several bots can share one emoji, which is useful for marking a set of bots you're comparing.
On the Leaderboard, the new Emoji filter next to Running bots only shows only your bots with the emoji you pick, and the app remembers your choice. Your emoji are private: nobody else sees them, including on your public Leaderboard entry. Insights agents can read and set them as well.
More complete trade records
Server Mode take-profit and stop-loss fills now appear on the decision they protect, with a label for what caused them, on both your own decision page and the public one. Client Mode already showed these fills. A Client Mode bot whose browser or desktop app closes is now recorded as offline even if nobody has the bot's page open. Server Mode now records order rejections with the same categories as Client Mode, for example insufficient margin or below the minimum order size, so the two modes report errors the same way.
